Lead Software Engineer

About the role

As a Lead Software Engineer at Artefact, you will join a community of engineers to manage technical projects and mentor teams for major clients. You will oversee the design and deployment of critical data and agentic platforms while driving operational and technical excellence in an environment focused on data and generative AI.

Responsibilities

• Piloting and managing complex Data & AI projects such as multi-agent solutions and medallion architectures.
• Supervising the construction of robust data platforms on cloud providers while ensuring alignment with Infrastructure as Code and software engineering best practices.
• Defining the technical vision for GenAI and LLM projects including orchestration and evaluation.
• Managing career development, performance, and mentoring for software engineers.
• Conducting technical scoping with major clients and presenting strategic architectural choices.
• Ensuring adherence to code quality, security, and delivery standards.
• Contributing to the technical community through talks, guilds, and recruitment processes.
