Senior Engineer, Android

About the role

Fanatics Collectibles is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to build high-quality mobile experiences across our ecosystem. You will independently own significant features and technical initiatives, providing leadership and guidance to other engineers while solving complex technical problems. This role requires deep Android expertise and strong product judgment to improve the quality and scalability of our applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
• Own complex features and technical initiatives from design through implementation, launch, and ongoing operation.
• Partner closely with Product and Design to translate customer needs into intuitive, performant mobile experiences.
• Make sound architectural and technical decisions and contribute to broader mobile engineering decisions.
• Establish and promote engineering practices that improve code quality, testing, observability, and developer productivity.
• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to engineers.
• Improve application performance, stability, security, and reliability through measurement and continuous improvement.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues across mobile applications and their supporting services.
