Team Lead Engineering - Platform

About the role

The Engineering Team Lead for the Platform team will lead a team of two engineers to build reliable, scalable, and robust core platform services. This role involves technical leadership, strategic architectural decision-making, and hands-on coding to support domain teams in delivering business features efficiently. The lead will champion reliability practices, manage the technical backlog, and act as a bridge between core domain teams and the platform team.

Responsibilities

• Lead a platform-focused engineering team responsible for building reliable, scalable shared services.
• Hire, develop, and grow a high-performing team while fostering an ownership-driven culture.
• Lead technically and strategically, defining and driving architectural decisions.
• Write code, contribute to features, and solve complex technical challenges alongside the team.
• Champion the use of AI in engineering workflows and explore AI applications within platform capabilities.
• Establish and drive reliability practices, including monkey testing and load testing.
• Own prioritization and the backlog, balancing reliability, tech debt, and business demands.
• Take end-to-end ownership of internal platform services such as Auth Service and API Gateway.
