About the role
This senior position operates at the critical intersection of sub-Kelvin sub-system electronics and quantum processor architectures, addressing the interconnect bottleneck in scalable quantum computing systems. The role spans the full digital IC design cycle, from initial microarchitecture specification to full tape-out signoff, with the objective of realizing ultra-low-power, high-density cryogenic control ICs.
Responsibilities
- Develop microarchitecture specifications and RTL for digital IC designs.
- Perform Verilog-AMS co-simulation and testbench development.
- Execute physical implementation including floorplanning, power grid synthesis, and clock tree synthesis.
- Conduct low-power synthesis and multi-corner multi-mode static timing analysis.
- Manage full tape-out signoff including DRC, LVS, and ERC checks.
- Architect high-speed serial interconnect protocols and complex finite-state machine control logic.
- Implement low-power dissipation techniques within cryogenic thermal budgets.
