About the role

As a Technical Business Development Manager, you will lead early-stage OEM engagements across Europe, managing the full lifecycle of RFQ/RFI and pre-nomination activities. You will bridge the gap between technical product capabilities and commercial partnerships, working closely with internal engineering and product teams to deliver compelling proposals to automotive customers. This role is pivotal in scaling strategic partnerships and driving commercial momentum for Wayve's autonomous driving technology.

Responsibilities

  • Own RFQ/RFI and bid responses end-to-end, including clarifying requirements, coordinating inputs, managing timelines and delivering high-quality submissions.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering and technical leads to develop customer narratives, proposals and supporting materials, including decks, business cases and GTM content.
  • Present confidently to both working-level engineering teams and executive/C-level stakeholders, adapting technical and commercial messaging to the audience.
  • Operate effectively within a matrix organisation, aligning internal stakeholders on positioning, feasibility and priorities to move opportunities forward.
  • Translate product and engineering realities into clear customer commitments while supporting opportunities from early discovery through PoC planning and toward nomination.
