Senior Solution / Data Architect (Azure Databricks)

About the role

Callista Group AG is seeking an experienced Solution or Data Architect to support a client in the insurance sector in building a new Lakehouse data platform based on Microsoft Azure and Databricks. The role involves designing the target architecture, defining data models, and establishing integration and modeling standards. You will act in a strong advisory capacity, providing decision-making support to the client's architecture team.

Responsibilities

• Develop the target architecture on Azure Databricks using Medallion architecture.
• Design logical and physical data models including historization.
• Create integration and loading concepts covering data flows, delta logic, and error handling.
• Design cross-system consolidation of customer and intermediary data.
• Define architecture and modeling standards, non-functional requirements, and performance concepts.
• Establish data governance, security, and access control frameworks including Unity Catalog and GDPR compliance.
• Prepare architecture decision documents and support the implementation team.
