About the role

The Equipment Engineer will act as the owner's engineer for maintenance, representing the team during new equipment projects from design through to commissioning and ramp-up. This role involves managing technical files, spare parts, and maintenance strategies while providing technical support and training to operational teams. The position requires a strong focus on equipment performance, safety compliance, and effective collaboration with OEMs and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Represent Maintenance in new equipment projects from design reviews to commissioning and ramp-up.
  • Build and maintain the equipment technical file, including electrical/mechanical drawings, PLC versions, and safety documentation.
  • Define and manage critical spare-parts lists and identify second-source suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance plans, corrective procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Monitor equipment performance metrics and lead root-cause analysis for major failures.
  • Train operational maintenance teams on equipment, software, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Manage technical escalations and lead review meetings with OEMs and integrators.
  • Ensure equipment and maintenance activities comply with safety requirements and site standards.
