Reliability Engineer

About the role

As a Reliability Engineer, you will serve as the site Subject Matter Expert for control systems, maintenance engineering, sensors, PLCs, and automation. You will work alongside facilities and maintenance teams to repair and maintain equipment, ensuring operational uptime and system reliability. This role involves hands-on technical work, mentoring maintenance personnel, and leading root cause analysis for major downtime events.

Responsibilities

• Actively monitor, fault find, and repair systems to ensure high equipment availability.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on automation, robotics, and control panels.
• Troubleshoot out-of-service equipment and act as an escalation point for technicians.
• Document all work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Mentor maintenance personnel in automation, controls, and robotics skill sets.
• Lead root cause analysis of major downtime events and act as a network resource for technical issues.
• Partner with engineering on the commissioning of new control systems.
• Audit vendor work and provide feedback on quality and SLA performance.
• Write and modify preventive maintenance procedures to standardize across the network.

Qualifications

• Qualified or solid practical understanding in Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering
