Software Engineer

About the role

As a Software Engineer, you will develop features and technical components independently within agile teams. You will coordinate interfaces, evaluate solutions, and see your work through to release while balancing benefits, maintainability, and security. You will also play an active role in shaping digital solutions for customers and mentoring junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop front-end components, services, or APIs independently while considering the overall system.
• Weigh up benefits, effort, maintainability, and security to propose workable solutions.
• Clarify interfaces with UX, Design, Delivery, and other engineers to identify dependencies.
• Validate changes through testing and reviews from CI/CD to release.
• Plan technical areas of responsibility, address risks, and explain decisions clearly.
• Share knowledge with junior engineers and develop expertise towards full-stack engineering.
