Senior Platform Software Engineer

About the role

Baringa is seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer to join the Data and Processing Platform team. You will help build the foundations and shared capabilities that support the firm's growth, working alongside the Engineering Lead to design and implement a greenfield data platform.

Responsibilities

• Help shape the design, implementation and ongoing support of a greenfield Data and Processing Platform and its supporting software products
• Support the Engineering Lead to engage with internal developers, energy system modellers, client-facing energy experts, and users across the business to build capabilities that enable them to work more effectively
• Help drive engineering best practices, ensuring that quality, reliability and observability are built into our products from inception
• Design and implement robust CI/CD automation flows, continually evolving our processes to improve the engineering experience
• Take an active role in all stages of the team’s agile development approach, from refinement through to delivery
