Lead Software Engineer

About the role

As a Lead Software Engineer at Artefact, you will join a community of engineers to manage and provide technical leadership for major client accounts. You will oversee the design and deployment of critical data and agentic platforms while mentoring team members and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced environment focused on data and generative AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the delivery of complex data and AI projects.
• Oversee the design and construction of robust data platforms on cloud infrastructure while ensuring alignment with IaC and software engineering best practices.
• Define the technical vision for GenAI and LLM projects including orchestration and evaluation.
• Manage team performance, career development, and provide continuous mentoring to software engineers.
• Conduct technical scoping with major clients and present strategic architectural choices.
• Ensure adherence to code quality, security, and delivery standards across all applications.
• Contribute to the technical community through internal talks, guilds, and recruitment efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Lead, Engineering Manager, or Senior Architect
