Associate – Audiobook Licensing & Author Partnerships

About the role

The Audiobooks team at Spotify is focused on shaping the future of audio storytelling by expanding the platform's catalog and enhancing listener experiences. As an Associate Manager, you will identify and acquire audiobook content, negotiate commercial partnerships, and build relationships with independent publishers and authors. You will collaborate across cross-functional teams to scale the business and support the success of creators on the platform.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate audiobook catalogs from independent authors, publishers, and distributors.
• Negotiate audiobook licensing agreements and commercial partnerships to create long-term value.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with a diverse portfolio of publishing partners.
• Develop creative partnership structures to support sustainable growth for creators and the business.
• Utilize market insights and performance analytics to inform acquisition strategies.
• Partner with creators to optimize catalog performance and improve discoverability.
• Collaborate with internal teams including Product, Editorial, Growth, Operations, and Finance.
• Advocate for the needs of independent creators to help shape future product capabilities.
