Vice President of Engineering

About the role

As VP of Engineering, you will lead the engineering organization and oversee the development of the company's platform and AI systems. You will be responsible for executing a modern platform architecture, integrating agentic AI into the trade lifecycle, and scaling the team while maintaining high delivery speed. This role requires a hands-on leader who can rebuild core systems in flight and partner closely with product, commercial, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and orchestrate AI agents across sourcing, pricing, sales, logistics, and financing.
• Lead the carve-out of the transaction core into a modern, modular light ERP system.
• Manage the engineering organization, including onsite talent in Berlin and a nearshoring team.
• Define and implement engineering standards, paved paths, and review practices for safe automation.
• Partner with the CPO on roadmap feasibility, technical due diligence, and data integrity.
• Hire and develop senior engineering leaders and foster a culture of ownership and craftsmanship.
