About the role
The Team Lead Analytics & Forecasting will own the forecasting stack for a short-term algorithmic trading desk, ensuring the accuracy and availability of production-grade inputs for optimization and bidding algorithms. This role involves developing statistical and fundamental models to assess European power markets and providing data-driven insights for trading decisions. The successful candidate will lead a team of 5-7 analysts and data scientists, fostering their technical and personal growth while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Own the complete forecasting stack for the short-term algorithmic trading desk
- Deliver production-grade, probabilistic inputs directly into optimization and bidding algorithms
- Develop and implement analytical, statistical, and fundamental models to assess European power and renewable markets
- Assess market trends and new markets quantitatively to support country and product decisions
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5-7 analysts and data scientists
- Collaborate with Trading, Portfolio Management, Pricing, Sales, and Product teams
- Create reports, monitorings, and benchmarks to provide actionable insights for stakeholders
