About the role
The researcher will join the CREER research center at IMT Mines Alès to work on the PREV'IA project. The role focuses on using Physics Informed Machine Learning (PIML) to improve hydrogeological modeling for water resource forecasting in the Roussillon plain and the Lez spring. The work involves exploring Physics Informed Architecture and Physics Informed Loss Function methods to assess hydrological changes under climate change.
Responsibilities
- Explore and implement Physics Informed Machine Learning approaches for hydrogeological modeling
- Develop and test Physics Informed Architecture and Physics Informed Loss Function models
- Evaluate the synergy between conceptual modeling and neural networks informed by physics
- Contribute to the analysis of hydrological data in the context of climate change
- Participate in multidisciplinary project activities and team meetings
- Assist in the drafting of administrative and scientific documents
