Mechanical Engineer in Production

About the role

Project Eaden is seeking a hands-on mechanical engineer to develop innovative mechanical systems for plant-based meat manufacturing. You will take operational responsibility for designing custom food processing equipment and supporting the mechanical engineering needs of production operations. This role involves working across the full lifecycle from equipment design to production support in a fast-growing startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Support installation of new food processing equipment, perform commissioning and validation procedures, and conduct functional testing.
• Analyze existing processes and equipment performance to identify and implement modifications for efficiency, reliability, and food safety compliance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, integrated, and pneumatic equipment failures to minimize production downtime.
• Build and test mechanical prototypes and operational processes, iterating designs based on production feedback.
• Collaborate with production, R&D, and quality teams to optimize equipment performance and resolve production challenges.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation including S.O.P.s, schematics, mechanical drawings, and system specifications.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure project deliverables meet specifications.

Qualifications
