Senior Engineer, Data Infrastructure

About the role

Quotient is seeking a Senior Engineer to design and evolve cloud, data, and AI infrastructure for a genomics-first drug discovery platform. This senior individual-contributor role involves leading complex initiatives, establishing engineering patterns, and mentoring team members while maintaining technical autonomy. The role requires collaboration across scientific and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable infrastructure solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and evolution of AWS-based infrastructure across cloud services, scientific data platforms and AI/ML workloads.
• Design and implement reusable infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD and environment-management patterns.
• Own cross-cutting engineering decisions for observability, identity and access management, networking, resilience, capacity, and data lifecycle management.
• Partner with Cloud and Data Engineers to deliver integrated solutions through design, code review, and operational improvement.
• Work with scientific teams to translate model development, training, and data requirements into secure, reproducible platform capabilities.
• Diagnose and resolve complex failures spanning infrastructure, data pipelines, and AI workloads.
• Establish and reinforce engineering standards for testing, documentation, release management, and operational readiness.
• Evaluate new technologies and shape the infrastructure roadmap in collaboration with leadership.
