Manager, Site Reliability Engineering

About the role

The Manager, Site Reliability Engineering will lead the Auth0 SRE team to ensure platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. This role involves driving technical strategy, mentoring engineers, and participating in on-call rotations to maintain critical authentication systems. The manager will foster a culture of continuous learning and blameless incident response while collaborating across product and platform teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SRE team's technical direction, translating organizational vision into actionable roadmaps and driving cross-functional initiatives.
• Operate at scale through hands-on participation in 24/7 on-call rotations, troubleshooting and remediating incidents on critical systems.
• Build infrastructure resilience by designing and implementing monitoring, alerting, and automation improvements to reduce toil.
• Champion reliability best practices, establishing policies that embed observability and software engineering rigor into engineering efforts.
• Mentor and develop SRE talent through pair programming, design discussions, and code reviews.
• Represent reliability as a senior technical leader in architectural reviews and strategic planning.
