Senior Data Scientist / ML Engineer (Forecasting)

About the role

This role involves developing a forecasting solution for a large healthcare network to predict clinic usage and staffing needs. The successful candidate will own the end-to-end delivery of machine learning solutions, from project discovery and stakeholder collaboration to model development, deployment, and productionisation.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and deploy ML models for time-series forecasting and related data tasks
• Build and maintain data pipelines using cloud-native tools
• Develop and optimize forecasting models using techniques such as Prophet, ARIMA, LSTM, and TimeGPT
• Collaborate with data, product, and cloud engineers to deliver reliable, scalable solutions
• Participate in project lifecycle stages from discovery and PoC to production deployment
• Work closely with business stakeholders and SMEs to gather requirements and shape solutions
• Communicate modelling approaches, assumptions, and results to technical and non-technical audiences
