Pre-Sales Senior Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Pre-Sales Engineer, you will act as a developer-plus technical contributor responsible for building high-quality mock backends, APIs, and demo infrastructure. You will leverage LLMs and Generative AI to prototype at high velocity, creating production-shaped assets that enable credible technical storytelling and client validation. This role sits at the intersection of Product Engineering and Go-to-Market, requiring you to partner with consultants to translate client needs into working technical artefacts.

Responsibilities

• AI-Accelerated Prototyping: Leverage LLMs to rapidly scaffold, build, and iterate on proof-of-concept apps and mock services.
• Technical Asset Development: Design, build, and maintain reusable mock services in Node.js and TypeScript, implementing contract-first APIs and managing AWS deployments.
• Infrastructure as Code: Manage demo environments using Terraform to ensure they are reproducible and secure.
• Frontend Collaboration: Work with frontend engineers to ensure UI components point to mock services and support end-to-end demo flows.
• Strategic Pre-Sales Support: Partner with consultants to translate client win themes into technical artefacts and demo directly to clients.
• Product & UX Influence: Collaborate with Design and Product teams for UI direction while developing your own design ideas.
• Mentorship & Standards: Set engineering standards for the pre-sales team and mentor others on API design and architecture.
• AI Evangelism: Act as the resident expert in GenAI workflows for the Commercial team.
