About the role
The Risk Manager will support the effective identification, assessment, and management of project risks for a major UK infrastructure programme. This role focuses on project risk rather than enterprise risk, requiring close collaboration with planning, commercial, and project management teams to provide robust risk insight and inform decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support the implementation of project risk management processes across complex infrastructure and construction projects.
- Own and maintain project risk registers, ensuring risks are clearly defined in terms of causes, events, impacts, probability, consequence and mitigation actions.
- Facilitate risk identification and review workshops with Project Management, Planning, Commercial, Engineering and other project stakeholders.
- Undertake and support Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) and Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis (QCRA) to assess the potential impact of uncertainty on project outcomes.
- Develop and maintain risk models, incorporating cost and schedule uncertainty, risk events, correlations and appropriate probability distributions.
- Produce clear and concise risk reporting, dashboards and management information, highlighting key exposures, trends, emerging risks and areas requiring management intervention.
