About the role

The Head of Direct Procurement will lead the direct purchasing team and develop a global procurement strategy for plastic-based raw materials and components. This role involves managing purchasing volumes, optimizing costs, and fostering strategic supplier relationships while ensuring material availability and quality. The position requires close collaboration with production, development, and supply chain departments to drive value chain efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead the direct procurement team both professionally and disciplinarily.
• Develop and implement a global procurement strategy for plastic raw materials and components.
• Manage purchasing volumes, cost optimization, and supplier performance.
• Conduct price and contract negotiations with a focus on plastic granules and injection-molded parts.
• Monitor raw material markets and analyze price trends and supply developments.
• Ensure material availability while meeting quality, cost, and sustainability targets.
