Senior Backend Engineer - CRM

About the role

The CRM team is responsible for the core data model of the Close platform, including leads, contacts, and opportunities. This role involves rearchitecting the data model to support scaling businesses and integrating AI-native features into the CRM workflow. You will work on complex migrations and performance-critical systems to ensure the platform remains fast and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Rearchitect the core CRM data model to improve flexibility for scaling businesses.
• Build tools and endpoints that allow AI agents to traverse, filter, and reason over CRM data.
• Develop and ship AI-native CRM features such as automated data cleaning and advanced search.
• Optimize hot paths to ensure high performance for frequent sales activities like lead management and pipeline scanning.
