Product Engineer (Backend)

About the role

Granola is building a category-defining product that turns company conversations into actionable context for people and agents. As a Product Engineer, you will own the backend systems that ensure the platform remains fast, accurate, and trustworthy as it scales. You will work directly with users to ship product improvements and help shape the future of agentic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Scale real-time voice transcription pipelines to ensure accuracy across devices.
• Evaluate and integrate new voice and transcription models into production.
• Build and maintain the agent harness for long-running jobs, tool calls, and context retrieval.
• Extend APIs and integrations to connect Granola with external AI tools.
• Develop enterprise-grade permissions, data isolation, and admin controls.
• Manage Postgres performance, observability, and alerting at scale.
