Senior OSINT Data Analyst

About the role

Datenna is a tech scale-up that uses OSINT and AI to provide governments with insights into China's techno-economic landscape. As a Senior OSINT Data Analyst, you will act as a domain authority, defining data collection strategies and transforming complex registry, procurement, and patent material into structured intelligence. You will own coverage areas, guide team members, and contribute to product development by translating analytical requirements into technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Apply regional domain knowledge to identify, map, and classify entities across corporate, academic, and defence-industrial landscapes.
• Define and own data collection workstreams, extracting structured information from non-English sources like corporate registries and patent databases.
• Manage data across its full lifecycle, including acquisition, parsing, cleaning, enrichment, and validation.
• Collaborate with the Data Lead to refine data quality benchmarks and improve automated pipelines.
• Contribute to the product development cycle by providing domain expertise for new features and risk labelling systems.
• Coordinate between researchers and software developers to translate analytical requirements into technical specifications.
• Mentor junior and medior researchers on OSINT tradecraft and review analytical outputs.
