Direct Tax Lead

About the role

ElevenLabs is seeking a Direct Tax Lead to own the US income tax provision, compliance, and controls. This hands-on role involves managing external tax providers, overseeing quarterly and annual ASC 740 provisions, and ensuring the accuracy of federal and state compliance calendars. You will work closely with the Head of Tax and external auditors to design and operate tax controls and document technical tax positions.

Responsibilities

• Manage external tax engagements and ensure the accuracy of tax outputs
• Own the quarterly and annual ASC 740 provision including deferreds, valuation allowance, and rate reconciliation
• Oversee the US federal and state compliance calendar including returns, extensions, and estimated payments
• Perform technical tax work related to 174 capitalization and 382 and NOL tracking
• Design, document, and operate tax controls and write technical memos supporting tax positions
