Direct Tax Lead

About the role

ElevenLabs is seeking a Direct Tax Lead to own US income tax provision, compliance, and controls. This hands-on role involves managing external tax providers, overseeing quarterly and annual ASC 740 provisions, and ensuring the accuracy of federal and state compliance calendars. The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Tax to design and operate tax controls and support technical tax positions.

Responsibilities

• Manage engagements with external tax providers for provision and return preparation.
• Own the quarterly and annual ASC 740 provision process including deferreds, valuation allowance, and footnote disclosures.
• Oversee the US federal and state compliance calendar including returns, extensions, and estimated payments.
• Perform technical tax work related to section 174 capitalization and section 382 and NOL tracking.
• Design, document, and operate tax controls and draft technical memos to support tax positions.
