Backend Developer

About the role

Qwello is looking for a Backend Developer to join their team and help design and implement new backend services to support their growing fleet of charging stations. You will work on backend-to-backend systems, focusing on reliability, security, and observability while collaborating in an interdisciplinary team. The role involves contributing to the company's mission of revolutionizing the charging industry by transitioning from combustion to electric.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new backend services and serverless code in Python and Rust
• Drive the transformation of system architecture to meet business needs and scale
• Participate in team discussions, code reviews, and planning sessions
• Maintain and improve the backend as part of a team
• Architect and implement distributed systems
• Practice hands-on off-premise cloud experience using AWS or similar platforms via IaC
• Collaborate with partners to integrate services
• Enhance services as the company expands
