Business Development Director – Supply Chain Center of Excellence

About the role

The Business Development Director will drive growth by winning new supply chain business within accounts in their territory. As a subject matter expert, the role involves leveraging deep domain insights to help customers transform their supply chain value chain using Cognite's AI and data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a targeted territory strategy to accelerate bookings growth and secure high-impact supply chain clients.
• Actively prospect and leverage personal networks to generate pipeline and provide commercial insights.
• Lead extended territory teams through complex enterprise sales cycles to exceed bookings targets.
• Quantify ROI and present business cases to enterprise executives to justify software investments.
• Collaborate with partners to qualify and progress pipeline and drive joint engagements.
• Support account leaders in negotiating pricing and commercial terms with C-level executives.
• Partner with product management and marketing teams to feed market insights back into product strategy.
• Maintain accurate forecasting and account records in Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
• 10+ years of experience in the Manufacturing and industrial supply chain environment
• 7+ years of direct or in-support sales experience selling enterprise software/SaaS to C-level executives
