Engineering Manager - Core Team

About the role

The Engineering Manager will lead the Core Team responsible for the operator portal, which manages tenant electricity projects and complex energy industry regulations. The role begins with a six-month period as a developer to gain deep technical and domain knowledge before transitioning into full team leadership. The manager will bridge business requirements with technical decisions, ensuring high-quality delivery and team development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Core Team, including hiring, onboarding, 1:1s, and professional development.
• Prioritize product development based on economic value and regulatory requirements in collaboration with the Product team.
• Moderate architectural discussions and maintain high technical quality standards.
• Act as the primary interface between Engineering, Product, and Support teams to resolve conflicts and streamline processes.
• Foster a culture of clear communication, honest feedback, and reliable delivery.

Qualifications
