Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

You will take over an established legal function and report directly to the Chairman, with a clear path to becoming General Counsel within 18 months. As the central legal contact, you will advise the management and departments while supporting the company's growth and international expansion. You will be responsible for managing legal processes, corporate governance, and committee work.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive legal advice to management and departments in areas including corporate, commercial, contract, competition, civil, and labor law.
• Draft, review, and negotiate national and international contracts in German and English.
• Manage corporate legal matters, including financing rounds, transactions, and due diligence.
• Prepare and support committee and shareholder work.
• Oversee legal frameworks for digital products, data protection compliance, and intellectual property.
• Manage legal aspects of payment products and regulatory requirements in collaboration with financial partners.
• Select and manage external law firms and handle legal disputes.
