About the role

Odin is seeking a founding Head of Engineering to lead engineering execution and team growth as the company scales. This role requires a hands-on leader who will balance technical contribution with team management, setting high standards for code quality, reliability, and performance. The successful candidate will shape the engineering culture, manage hiring, and ensure that technical decisions align with customer impact and business goals.

Responsibilities

• Engineering execution and accountability for shipping features.
• Setting and maintaining engineering standards including code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Performance management through direct, technical feedback.
• Hiring, onboarding, and developing engineers as the team grows.
• Driving team-level output through AI productivity gains.
• Ensuring engineering reliability through incident response and root-cause discipline.
• Collaborating with Product to ensure regular and reliable shipping.
• Managing technical partner relationships and vendor diligence.
