Site Reliability Engineering Lead

About the role

As a member of the engineering team, you will lead and manage a team of Cloud and Site Reliability Engineers to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of SonarQube Cloud and Server. You will drive the platform engineering roadmap, focusing on resiliency, cost optimization, and the reduction of manual toil through automation. This role involves fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaborating across squads to support the company's mission in AI code review and verification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Cloud and Site Reliability Engineers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
• Hold the team accountable to high engineering standards, focusing on system reliability, performance, and security.
• Manage the team’s operational workload, including on-call health, incident response, and the reduction of manual toil through automation.
• Foster a safe culture of feedback and continuous improvement, encouraging blameless post-mortems.
• Collaborate with other value stream squads to ensure the production platform meets developer needs while maintaining strict governance.
• Communicate a clear vision for the squad that aligns with the platform engineering roadmap, focusing on resiliency, business continuity, and cost optimization.
• Partner with the hiring team to recruit talented engineers and improve the hiring process.
• Lead by example, modeling behaviors of servant leadership and high-stakes decision-making.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a focus on SRE, Cloud Operations, or Infrastructure Engineering
