About the role

MicroAGI is a data research and deployment lab building hardware to capture physical work data for foundation models. As Head of Hardware, you will own the hardware roadmap and system architecture end to end, leading a team of engineers while remaining hands-on with design and development. This is a founder-shaped role requiring someone who has successfully taken a product from a blank page to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Own the hardware roadmap for wearables, sensor rigs, camera systems, and prototype robots.
  • Set the system architecture across electrical, firmware, and mechanical disciplines.
  • Perform hands-on engineering tasks including schematics, layout reviews, and board bring-up.
  • Lead, hire, and grow the hardware team while fostering ownership of subsystems.
  • Guarantee data quality by managing EMG, EEG, and camera pipelines for machine learning teams.
  • Manage the transition from prototype to small-batch production, including DFM and vendor management.
