Software Engineer Industrial Robot Control

About the role

The Robotics & Mechatronics team is seeking a Software Engineer to develop C++ control software for robot arms. The role involves working on kinematics, trajectory generation, and multi-body control to bridge the gap between simulation and physical hardware performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop C++ software for the robot's control stack, covering kinematics, trajectory generation, and compliance control.
• Support parameter identification and controller-gain tuning against physical hardware.
• Profile control software to maintain timing margins for safety and stability.
• Write automated software tests and define hardware testing procedures.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain codebase quality.
• Investigate and evaluate emerging robotic control methods and algorithms.
