Engineering Manager - Customer Developer Experience

About the role

As an Engineering Manager on the Customer Developer Experience team, you will lead engineers in providing technical guidance to external developers and building advanced open-source tooling. You will set the technical strategy for open-source libraries and ensure they remain reliable, high-quality, and well-documented. This role involves balancing hands-on integration support with long-term tooling development to scale the business effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering their career growth and providing direct feedback.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, customer success, and data science teams to prioritize features.
• Manage the end-to-end hiring process for the team.
• Set technical standards for the team's tech stack, tooling, and testing practices.
• Guide the development of TypeScript and React UI libraries used in retail experiences.
• Drive the creation of intuitive tools, documentation, and reference examples to improve developer experience.
