About the role

GROPYUS is seeking a Head of Product Cost Optimization to establish and lead a top-tier cost optimization function for their building systems. This strategic role sits at the intersection of product development, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and construction, ensuring cost competitiveness throughout the product lifecycle. The successful candidate will define strategy, methods, and governance while building a data-driven understanding of cost drivers to enhance value.

Responsibilities

• Definition and leadership of the cost optimization strategy for the Building Systems division.
• Development and implementation of design-to-cost, should-costing, value engineering, and target costing methods.
• Systematic identification, evaluation, and prioritization of cost optimization potentials for building systems and components.
• Creation of transparent cost models and feedback loops to enable continuous learning.
• Leadership and development of the cost optimization team and establishment of clear standards and processes.
• Collaboration with leadership across product, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and R&D to embed cost awareness in decision-making.
