Embedded Automotive Platforms, Senior Software Engineer

About the role

This role sits within the Vehicle Software Engineering team, focusing on building core infrastructure that allows self-driving models to interface with vehicles safely. You will work on mission-critical, performance-sensitive systems that bridge the gap between advanced ML models and embedded platforms. The position offers the opportunity to specialize in areas such as mapping, navigation, diagnostics, or control systems while collaborating across a global organization.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain core C++/Python software components that interface self-driving models with vehicle and embedded systems.
• Develop infrastructure to communicate with, run, and test self-driving capabilities separate from ML model development.
• Own the reliability and performance of key systems across Linux-based environments.
• Contribute to tooling and diagnostics for testing and validation.
• Partner with the wider organization to integrate changes, resolve cross-team issues, and support releases.
