Senior Manager - Pre Sales

About the role

Primer is looking for a Senior Manager to lead and grow their pre-sales Solutions Engineering team. You will be responsible for coaching the team, driving technical sales strategy, and partnering with sales leadership to manage pipeline and deal velocity. This role involves direct involvement in high-stakes merchant interactions and acting as a key voice for the merchant within the product organization.

Responsibilities

• Leading and growing the pre-sales SE team through hiring and coaching.
• Participating in discovery calls, architecture sessions, and executive conversations for major deals.
• Standardizing technical sales processes including discovery, demos, POCs, and RFPs.
• Partnering with Sales leadership on pipeline, forecasting, and deal strategy.
• Building business cases focused on merchant value such as cost savings and resilience.
• Providing input to the Product team based on patterns observed in the field.
