Lakebase Sales Specialist, Associate Director

About the role

Databricks is seeking a Lakebase Sales Specialist to drive the adoption of their fully-managed Postgres offering for intelligent applications. This role involves partnering with regional account executives to identify, qualify, and close opportunities while articulating the value of Lakebase to platform, application, and data teams. The position is based in Zurich and focuses on customers across the Central region.

Responsibilities

• Drive new Lakebase revenue by identifying, qualifying, and closing opportunities within a defined territory.
• Lead with outcomes for key personas including platform teams, developers, data teams, and central IT.
• Sell the value of fully-managed Postgres for intelligent applications and operational workloads.
• Run complex, multi-threaded sales cycles from discovery through commercial negotiation and close.
• Orchestrate proof-of-value and POCs in partnership with solution architects and specialists.
• Compete and win against legacy and cloud-native operational databases using benchmarks and customer references.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Success to shape territory plans and launch plays.
• Enable the field by sharing best practices and success stories to scale Lakebase proficiency.
