About the role
Nozomi Networks is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to shape the architecture, scalability, and long-term evolution of their OT and IoT cybersecurity platform. This role involves operating at both a technical leadership and hands-on engineering level to drive complex initiatives and mentor team members. The successful candidate will own critical system areas and influence architectural decisions to ensure engineering excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of distributed systems that power our OT/IoT cybersecurity platform
- Drive architecture decisions with a long-term perspective on scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Own cross-team initiatives, aligning engineering efforts with product and business priorities
- Identify and systematically reduce technical debt, improving system reliability and developer productivity
- Act as a technical multiplier, mentoring engineers and raising the bar on design, code quality, and operational excellence
- Define and champion best practices in software design, testing, and observability
- Collaborate closely with Product, SRE, and Security teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Influence and improve engineering processes, ensuring effective delivery in a fast-paced agile environment
