Lead Software Engineer

About the role

PQShield is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to oversee a cryptographic software IP team. You will manage the full software development lifecycle, from design to delivery, while mentoring engineers and fostering a collaborative environment. This role involves cross-team strategy, architectural reviews, and direct engagement with customers.

Responsibilities

• Work with engineering leaders and project managers to plan and allocate work to meet product roadmaps.
• Coordinate and deliver application and embedded software IP design projects from conception to customer delivery.
• Perform line management duties including hiring, training, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.
• Ensure the team has the necessary tooling and infrastructure to function effectively.
• Mentor colleagues and serve as a point of contact for software design expertise.
• Define architectural solutions for complex algorithmic or system-level challenges.
• Engage with customers to assist with integration and technical sales support.
