Working Student - Laser PMO

About the role

Focused Energy is looking for a Working Student to join the Laser Project Management Office. You will support project governance, reporting, and process development while assisting with day-to-day project execution and documentation. This role offers the opportunity to manage small-scope projects end to end and gain exposure to how a technical organization delivers complex work.

Responsibilities

• Support project governance, reporting, and process development for the Laser PMO.
• Assist with project execution by helping to run retrospectives, reviews, and weekly project meetings.
• Facilitate recurring project meetings, ensuring they remain focused and productive.
• Maintain up-to-date project documentation and ensure stakeholders receive the information they need.
• Take ownership of small-scope projects, managing them end to end as the project CEO for your area.
• Help identify process gaps and propose improvements to how projects are tracked and reported.
• Promptly flag risks, blockers, and open decisions to the PMO lead.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Physics, Optics/Photonics, Laser Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
