Financial Accountant / Finance Manager

About the role

The Financial Accountant / Finance Manager will support finance operations in Germany by coordinating annual financial statements and ensuring compliance with HGB regulations. This role acts as a key liaison between internal departments, auditors, and tax advisors to maintain accurate financial reporting. The position involves managing full accounting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, as well as supporting budgeting and financial planning.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the preparation of German annual financial statements (Jahresabschluss) and support year-end closing activities.
• Ensure compliance with German accounting regulations (HGB) across all finance operations.
• Liaise with external tax advisors and auditors to support tax filings and audit processes.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support financial planning, budgeting, and reporting activities.
• Oversee accounting processes beyond bookkeeping, including reconciliations and financial controls.
• Maintain accurate financial records in the ERP system.
• Prepare regular financial reports and analyses for management.
