AI Security Engineer

About the role

This role involves building, operating, and improving security capabilities across applications, cloud infrastructure, and AI systems. As the founding-level security hire, you will establish the security engineering function, define its roadmap, and collaborate with engineering teams to embed security controls throughout the technology environment.

Responsibilities

• Define security engineering strategy and roadmap across application, cloud, and AI security.
• Work with engineering teams on secure system design, threat modelling, and penetration testing.
• Own AI security and governance for LLM-powered features, RAG systems, and agentic pipelines.
• Design and validate safeguards for AI agents including sandboxing and access controls.
• Deploy AI-powered security automation for vulnerability triage and threat intelligence.
• Manage IT security compliance programmes including SOC 2, GDPR, and EU AI Act obligations.
