Senior Software Engineer, Quality

About the role

Camunda is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build the agentic layer of its software testing infrastructure. This role involves developing agents that design, generate, maintain, and triage tests across the software lifecycle to enable product teams to own their quality processes. You will help shape the company's Quality AI strategy while working hands-on with new features to ensure tooling reliability.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate agents across the testing lifecycle including test design, generation, maintenance, execution, and failure triage.
• Own the infrastructure that makes agent-driven testing reliable, including environments, test data, tool interfaces, guardrails, runtime, and cost control.
• Define metrics for agent output quality to ensure teams can trust automated results.
• Apply evaluation practices to test Camunda 8's own AI capabilities.
• Work hands-on with new features to ensure tooling remains effective and relevant.
• Raise the quality capability of teams through patterns, tooling, and enablement.
