Senior Software Engineer, Quality

About the role

Camunda is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Quality to build the agentic layer for testing its software. You will develop infrastructure and agents that design, generate, and maintain tests, enabling product teams to own quality independently. This role involves shaping the company's Quality AI strategy and applying evaluation practices to test Camunda's own AI capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate agents across the testing lifecycle including design, generation, maintenance, execution, and triage.
• Own the infrastructure for agent-driven testing, including environments, test data, tool interfaces, and cost control.
• Define metrics for agent output quality to ensure reliability without manual review.
• Apply evaluation practices to test Camunda 8's AI capabilities.
• Work hands-on with new features to ensure tooling effectiveness.
• Raise quality capabilities across teams through patterns, tooling, and enablement.
