About the role

The Data Engineer will transform complex EMS, SCADA, and contract data into operational insights for the ESS fleet. This role involves configuring control strategies, managing data pipelines, and developing monitoring dashboards to ensure system performance and compliance. The position serves as a technical bridge between operations teams and headquarters to support the transition to clean energy.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, commission and optimise EMS settings, control strategies, setpoints and dispatch logic across the ESS fleet.
  • Diagnose EMS faults, validate software and firmware updates, and support reliable system performance.
  • Serve as the EMS technical contact for Operations and Maintenance teams, the Remote Service Center and HQ.
  • Connect and maintain data feeds from customer EMS platforms, the Insight Portal, SCADA telemetry and ticketing systems.
  • Build robust data pipelines that bring operational sources into a consistent, traceable dataset and resolve data gaps quickly.
  • Develop fleet monitoring dashboards and automate LTSA compliance, availability and ad hoc performance reporting.
