Chief Technology Officer

About the role

The Chief Technology Officer will lead the engineering transformation of the Prerender platform, shifting the organization toward a high-velocity, product-focused model. This role involves owning the technology vision, engineering strategy, and R&D budget while fostering an AI-first engineering culture. You will lead a senior engineering team directly, balancing hands-on technical contributions with executive-level strategy and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Own the technology vision, roadmap, and engineering strategy for Prerender.
• Lead the adoption of AI-assisted development tooling to multiply team productivity.
• Manage a multi-region, Kubernetes-based render fleet with a focus on cost, reliability, and operational hygiene.
• Oversee security and compliance programs, including SOC 2 and ISO 27001 requirements.
• Coach and mentor engineers to foster a culture of ownership and high performance.
• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to align engineering capacity with business objectives and customer needs.
• Manage the full R&D budget, including personnel, infrastructure, and vendor relationships.
