Staff Product Engineer

About the role

Ashby is seeking a versatile and persistent Staff Product Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of product features. You will operate in a high-pace, low-meeting environment, acting as both a product manager and designer to research, spec, and build solutions for Talent Acquisition software. This role is ideal for an ambitious engineer who thrives on technical and product ambiguity and seeks to create leverage through reusable abstractions.

Responsibilities

• Research customer needs and competitor offerings to inform product development.
• Write product specifications and create wireframes for new features.
• Build and implement features end-to-end across the full technology stack.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to vet decisions and ensure project alignment.
• Develop reusable building blocks and abstractions to improve system flexibility.
• Investigate and resolve customer issues as part of distributed team responsibilities.
